Welcome to COWnting, an application developed by Grufo53 Studio.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled securely and transparently, in compliance with applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account, we collect:

• Full name (required)
• Email address (required)
• Profile photo (optional, only if you choose to upload one)

When you use the app, you also provide data about your livestock operation (farm names, lot boundaries, herd information, events, etc.). This operational data is yours and is used exclusively to provide the app's functionality to you and your organization.

2.2 Location Data

With your permission, the app accesses your device's approximate or precise location. This is used only to:

• Center the map when you are drawing lot polygons
• Show your current position on the map

Location data is not stored in our database. It is processed temporarily on your device while you interact with the map, and transmitted to Google Maps only to render map tiles (see Section 4).

You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings. The app will still work, but map centering will use a default location.
